Wine of the Month - July 2010
Sprucewood Shores Riesling 2009 Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery has been on a roll lately with their new releases. Three fanastic Chardonnay's, one barrel fermented, one with a little bit of oak and the third with no oak at all. With all the chardonnays going on their Riesling could easily be overlook but you will be missing a real treat if you do. Excellent value paired with a fanastic Riesling make this a great summer time choice. Looking for a refreshing summer time sipper? This is it. It's light enough to sip on, lots of tree fruit such as peach and lemon followed by a wonderful mineral backbone to make this one the most complete, complex and balanced Rieslings sold in Essex County. Winemaker’s Notes:
This syrah has a bright bouquet of sweet tobacco with hints of green pepper. Rich flvours of ripe berries, graced with well structured tannins, are so delightful on the palate. A great match with rie cheeses, grilled earthy vegetables anf grilled chiken or pork.

Winemaker’s Notes:
The first ever Syrah from Muscedere Vineyards, this wine is a medium to full-bodied with notes of black pepper on the nose.It shows intense flavours of blackberry and pepper with hints of toasted oak. Enjoy with Barbecued ribs. rack of lamb or sizzling steak.

Shiraz, dry, Watercress Creek Release
Award winning wine:
ACWC Silver & Ontario Wine Awards - 2008 Bronze
Winemaker’s Notes:
Deep dark red wine. The bouquet suggests cinnamon and blackberry and a whiff of pepper. It tastes soft and mellow with a lick of pepper and blackberry with a soft chocolate finish.
Our syrah pairs well with a freshly roasted spring lamb, or veal. Good with prime rib or pizza too.
