Chardonnay is one of the most popular of French white wine grapes. This firm, dry Chardonnay is vibrant, fresh and enticing

Like the pheasant, our Chardonnay grape vines have adapted well to the sun, soil, climate and latitude of Pelee Island.

These grapes were harvested in September when they had reached 20.1 degrees Brix. They were then fermented for two to four weeks in stainless steel tanks and then left to age for another 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

Cabernet Franc is one of the classic red grapes used to make famous French Bordeaux Cabernets. It makes especially good Cabernet from the Pelee Island Vineyards because it ripens early and welling the warm island microclimate.

Deep purple-red in colour. Perfectly ripe fruit on the nose, with fresh raspberries and black currant aromas, and a hint of cedar. Succulent summer berry pie flavours on the palate, with supple tannins, medium acidity and a long, spicy finish.

    Deep garnet in colour with dark berry fruit, vanilla and ear notes. Expressive and powerful with highly concentrated flavours of rich cocoa and blackberry and a long and elegant finish with well-structured tannins.
