Winemaker’s Notes:
This Austrian bred grape produces a medium bodied wine with good acidity, soft tannins and a distinctive red colour. Flavours include black pepper and currants.

We’re thrilled to have our newest, and very popular new Summer Sun Cabernet now available. Summer Sun is a chilled red wine made of 100% Cabernet Franc, made with only minimal skin contact. The result is a delicate salmon coloured wine with a vibrant citrus nose with pronounced lime, fresh grapefruit with a dusting of sugar on the palate. The great 2007 vintage, but a reserve aged in French Oak for 18 months. Like the 05 Reserve, this one is selling quickly at this great price.

The Bordeaux variety is particularly well suited to Essex County with our long and warm summers that continue into the fall. The result is a rich full flavoured red wine which has been gently aged in French oak barrels.
