Rate and review Colio CEV Gamay Noir 2008.

Earthy nose, black soil dominate. Cherry fruit, cedar and some smokiness also noted. Good complexity, leaving me wanting to explore this wine.
Black pepper spice noted will slap you silly. The heat on the palate is not from that alcohol, rather from the spicy edge of black pepper on the palate. Cherry fruits, cedar, smokiness and soft silky tannins. Very well balanced. Acidity supportive to the long finish. A real treat that is delicious and still offered at a value price.
Try this with a pizza or pasta, you won’t go wrong. A wonderful gem from grapes grown in Lake Erie North Shore.
