This one has more body, colour and complexity which probably is due to Pelee Island's winemaker's decision to add 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Pelee Island's Alvar Pinot Noir is going to give their award winning Reserve Pinot Noir a good run. Wine drinkers like myself who like their reds wirh body will enjoy this one. Colour is still lighter, but darker than other local Pinots. A powerful nose shows wonderful complexity of red cherries, plums, soil, oak, and even new leather. Taste is a real treat. Follows the same direction as the nose along with crisp acidity and mild tannins. Long finish to show it's quality. This is one good Pinot Noir! The price is right. Buy this one.
