Muscedere Vineyards Rosé 2009 Review
Winemaker’s Notes:
Our 2009 Rosé comes on the heals of our 2008 that was very popular for its drier characteristics. Like the 2008 it is made in a Southern French style where Rosé is not very sweet. Enjoy chilled on the patio or by the pool.
To make our Rosé we use grapes from our vineyard we use grapes that have been exposed to limited skin contact which gives the wine its light red colour. Made in our traditional style with a hint of residual sugar, this Rosé can be enjoyed in the summer sun as a sipping wine and with light hors d’oeuvres or salads.

We are in the middle of a heat wave here in Southern Ontario and a Rosé seems to fit the bill perfectly.
Rosé is the perfect summer time sipper and Muscedere’s recently released quaffer fits the bill.
It has a nice cherry red colour that shows some excellent intensity.
Nose whaffs sweet cherries which continues into the taste. Keep in mind though that this is not a super sweet wine, rather it’s off dry with a hint of sweetness. Medium length finish. Perfect for summer it sipping especially during the current heat wave. Best served chilled, you may notice some it is a little tart on the finish if served warm.
Don’t look for a lot of complexity, it’s simple and enjoyable just the way it should be.
Chill down and drink up!
Gary
Disapointed with this one. Lacked bouquet and taste. Bitter aftertaste on the palate.
