Winemaker’s Notes:
Another great Chardonnay! This unoaked dry white wine, is smooth, buttery, vanilla and lightly fruity. Nicely matched with most main courses including: chicken, beef, game, lamb, pork, vegetables, cream sauces course, most cheeses, pizza, Thai, and Chinese.

I was digging around in our wine cellar last week and came across a few 2006 chardonnay’s from Erie Shore. I remember how much I enjoyed this Chardonnay (even selecting it as a “Wine of the Month”). Opened one and it was still quite good, not as fruity so the 2006 may have peaked it potential. If you have any in your cellar now may be a good time to drink them up.
If you do not have any 2006′s laying around good is is that Erie Shore Vineyard recently released their new 2007 chardonnay and it is every bit as good as the 2006 was.
It’s fruity, (fresh apple and pears), good mouthfeel (medium body) and nice clean acidity to make this one fresh and lively wine to sip on.
