Erie Shore Blanc de Blancs Vidal Blanc 2008 Review
Winemaker’s Notes:
Like the ’07 Vidal but a dry Vidal that is a refreshing wine. It is citrus to lemon. Light to Medium bodied, clean finish.
Pleasant floral-citrus bouquet. This one excels on a hot Essex County day! Great with appetizers, an aperitif, seafood, shell fish, white meats, pates, fruits and cheese.

I remember trying the 2007 Blanc de Blancs Vidal from Erie Shore Vineyard and being a little dissapointed with it. Perhaps it was the mood I was in as it can and does change the taste of wine on any given day.
Erie Shore’s Blanc de Blancs Vidal 2008 Vintage is so different in so many ways. The new label looks nice (it is similair in colour to their new 08 Vidal so read the label before selecting your wine) and this new release does taste much better than the ’07 too.
It’s an easy going summer time sipper. Gramma’s special lemon aid.
Sometimes wine does not need to be big or complex to be enjoyed. Dry, refreshing wine with a lemon nose and taste. Open this one after work on a hot summer day.
Priced under $10 this wine is perfect to bring along to serve at summer parties and gatherings.
