Visually this wine is clear, displays a golden straw colour and shows good consentration.
This is the second wine from Colio that I have opened recently where the nose is a bit shy. It does open up a bit when left to sit in the glass for a short period of time.
Nose does have some melon and apple but you really have to work at it to find these aromas.
Taste is where it is at. Citrus, (lemon and lime) green apple, honey and a nice mineral backbone show this wine’s complexity. It is a very good wine.
Acidity puckers the cheeks, finish is long. This is an excellent sipper perfect for summer picnics or patio sipping.
