Winemaker’s Notes:
More than your typical Chardonnay! This crisp wine carries a delightfully un-oaked citrus twist and finishes with mineral and fruity notes on the palate.

This wine is not quite as it seems, but for all the right reasons.
The winemaker’s notes describe this as an unoaked chardonnay. Pour some into a glass and note the hints of oak. Yes, oak can be tasted too.
This is the winemaker’s craft. Taking a good chardonnay, adding a little bit of their oaked chardonnay (4% I am told) with an end result that is sure to please all chardonnay wine drinkers. Chardonnays can be a bit boring, the winemaker has found a way to make this one more interesting.
The nose offers a nice hint of lemony citrus up front along with that hint of oak.
Taste: nice crisp acidity and cirus on the attack followed shortly afterward by the hint of oak. Interesting mineral notes near the finish, I don’t find this a lot in Lake Erie North Shore wines so it is a real treat. The wine has a nice medium bodied mouthfeel.
Offers a lot for the price!
Very nice wine. We bought several bottles.
