Moderate plums, and earthy black soil nose along with the typical green pepper nose found in most Lake Erie North Shore Cab Francs.

Not very complex but does begins with a good balance. There is some extra acidity near the finish that tipped the balance. Good tannins that leave the mouth very dry. The acidity near the finish does overpower most fruit taste.

Not a wine to drink by itself, this one needs to be paired with beef.

Although a 2005 vintage, tannins have not soften this wine yet. I would be interested in tasting this wine in a couple years to note what softer tannins would offer to this wine.

Bottle is corked with a synthetic cork so celler standing up.

If Viewpointe's Cabernet / Merlot 2005 is available, buy it first.

NOTE: Tried this wine with some 6 year old white cheddar cheese and enjoy the pairing. The cheese cut into the acidity of the wine. Excellent pairing which improved the taste of the wine. Enjoy!
