CREW Red Sky At Night 2007 Review
Colchester Ridge Estate Winery (CREW)
Winemaker’s Notes:
This intriguing wine begins with an apple nose.Upon tasting, sour cherry flavours envelop the palate finishing with a refreshing orange zest. Light and refreshing but still possessing some depth and character, this is a delightful pair with many dishes.
Blend of Merlot and Riesling wines.
VQA Ontario
11.5 alc./vol.

This is the second CREW red Sky At Night vintage that I have taste. Not a lot has changed when comparing this one to the 2006 vintage however I did notice that this one is VQA while the 2006 blend wasn’t.
I didn’t notice a lot in the nose of this wine. There is mild hints of apple and is that citrus I noted?
This wine is loaded with a sour apple taste that lingers for quite some time.
If your taste buds like sour taste you will enjoy this one.
We had a sample of this wine when we visited the winery and agree that it was just too sour.
