This wine is another good reason to visit Smith & Wilson Estate Winery in Blenheim. The other reason is for their Cabert Franc 2005 (See Essex Wine Review’s “wine of The Month – November 2009).
This one is as good, and maybe even a little better that their 2007 (which I gave a great review).
A quick swirl of the glass reveals a wonderful fruity nose.
This chardonnay is nice and crisp, full of fruit flavours such as pears and green apple.
It’s nice and dry with somewhat of a acidic fruity finish.
Very nice and a great valus at only $11.
