Nose has an aromatic sweet berry and oak characters.

This is a very complex Cabernet Franc. I don't think I could ever get bored with this one as I find it so interesting to drink. Nice balance of spicy oak, bell peppers, and earth. It screams of Essex County as it has that unique Cab Franc taste that only comes from the area.

Finish is a little hot but I imagine that this will soften with a little time in the bottle. This one is as good, and maybe even better than Erie Shore's 2005 Cab Franc reserve. I have one bottle of the 05 left and may just do a side by side taste challenge to find out.

Price is the same as their now sold out 2005 Cab Franc Reserve.

Do yourself a favour and drink this wine in a glass made for red wines. I am talking about a glass that is big and wine and lets your nose get inside to sniff the aroma of this wine. It is worth it. If you at the winery and they are offering samples unfortunately the tasting glasses are too small (This is the case at most wineries). These small tasting glasses do not let you appreciate all that the nose has to offer. This wine deserves a good glass. Smell is the most powerful of all the senses and this wine has a lot to offer in the nose.
