CREW Cabernet Franc 2007 Review
Colchester Ridge Estate Winery (CREW)
Winemaker’s Notes:
This full bodied red wine offers typical earthiness of the variety with heightened fruit flavours and a subtle but rich buttery accent, attributed to its 10 months in oak barrels
In your hand is a premium quality wine. CREW is located in the southernmost part of Canada where sun and terroir yield superior grapes. Meticulous attention to detail then produces this exceptional wine. Enjoy creating special memories with CREW.

I am just a little disappointed with this Cab Franc. It’s still good and can hold its own but it was just not what I was expecting from CREW.
When I think of red wines from CREW, I think “BIG REDS”. This one is a little green and the tannins are off just a little.
This wine may just need a little time to sit in the cellar to find it’s place. I have a few extra bottles of this wine so I am putting them back in the cellar and will have a look at this wine again a little later on.
In fairness to my above review I recently had another bottle of CREW Cabernet Franc 2007.
This wine was available at Calabria Pizza in Cottam. Ordered a bottle with our Salty Dog Pizza. What a difference a few months can make. The wine has improved so much in this time. Perhaps just needed a little time to recover from bottle shock?
Nice red fruit nose. Cherry flavours on the palate. Good texture and moderate length.
5 out of 5 stars.
