Just had a chance last week to taste this wine again. (Feb 24th, 2011)

Knocked my socks off. This wine has improved since I last tasted it. I believe I tasted the wine shortly after release, and probably still suffering from a bit of bottle shock.

Noted how well the secondary's have stepped up to show. Interesting vanilla, cedar, oak have found a nice balance with the ripe fruits. There is a kind of silkiness to the finish that supports a lengthy finish.

Price has gone up since first released, only a few bucks, don’t let that hold you back. I have tasted wines that were twice this price and didn’t have as much to offer.

Lake Erie North Shore expressions showing well in this wine.

This is one of those OMG (Oh My God) wines .... buy it while you can!

Thanks for the info on the Cab Sauv. Very interesting as it doesn't have that "oaked" taste at all. You would think that after a year in the barrel something would be there.

This is a very good wine but I wonder just how much better it could be if lefted in that barrel for another 6 months?

As it is, I realy enjoyed this wine for its fruit forward qualities.

The Cab Sauv was aged for about 12 months in oak.

Also, CREW's '07 reds are limited release until closer to the fall.

WOW .... a big rush of cherries and blackberries hit the palate. Excellent mouthfeel, this is a fruit forward wine.

Nice balance of sweet taste and tannins.

I didn't pick up a lot of oak. Wonder how long this wine was in the barrel?

Mild tannins gave this wine a nice soft finish.
