Muscedere Vineyards Riesling 2008 Review
Winemaker’s Notes:
An excellent Patio wine or summer sipper. This finely balanced wine has an off-dry appeal. Charateristics include citrus notes on the nose with a crisp, clean finish.
Pairs well with spicy Indian dishes or Thai dishes. Serve slightly chilled.

I first sampled this wine way back in April when it was released. It was good then but may have been sufering from a bit of bottle shock at the time as it had just been bottled.
Things have changed …. the wine has settled and is excellent. This one is even better that Muscedere’s 2007 Riesling .
So let’s have a look at this riesling now that it has had a bit of time in the cellar.
Nice clear light yellow colour. The nose has nice floral and sweet honeycomb aromas with hints of citrus.
Taste is excellent, yes this is an excellent sipper. The mouth fills with tropical fruit and citrus flavours with a long finish to boot. This is good stuff!
Ready to open and enjoy right now. Open a bottle with friends this summer, they will thank you for it. This is an excellent riesling fom the Lake Erie North Shore wine appellation.
Very nice wine. We had this one last weekend and really enjoyed it.
