Muscedere Vineyards Rosé 2008 Review
Winemaker’s Notes:
Our 2008 Rosé was made by siphoning off juice from the Cabernet Franc must after twelve hours of skin contact and prior to fermentations. The twelve hours of skin contact slightly taints the juice which gives it a pink colour.
Enjoy this wine in the summer sun as a cocktail or with light appetizers and salad.

Muscedere’s Rosé is an off dry blush wine that isn’t as sweet as other local Rosé wines. This may disappoint some and excite others.
I am somewhere in the middle on this. I like a bit of sweetness when I open a Rosé. I enjoyed the hints of Cab Franc that are easy to recognize in this wine. It has a light refreshing taste upfront but left just a little bit of a bitter aftertaste.
The wine has a nice light pink colour. A fresh smelling nose of flowers and earth.
Served chilled, this is a nice sipper on a hot day.
