Excellent white wine. If you like unoaked chardonnay wine you will enjoy this one.
The wine is almost clear with just a yellow hint to give it some colour.
There is nice fruity citrus nose. The taste echos the nose. Lots of citrus flavours along with some other fruits such as apples and pears. The finish excellent, a sweet taste that last for quite some time.
This one is a great sipping wine, easy to drink. This wine was just bottled at the beginning of April, 2009. I expect that it will only improve and be one of the best sipping wines this summer.
Buy this one when you want to treat yourself to something a little special. I don’t know of any other winery in the area producing an Auxerrois. It’s a good value at just under $15.
I echo the other comments. Enjoyed the Auxerrois September 2010 and it was by far the best white wine we had. Very light, smooth, lingering on the palate, and a semi-dry taste all its own. A perfect companion to a light cheese and crackers, or with a light meal of chicken, fish, or just salad.
