Winemaker’s Notes:
Grapes hand-selected from our Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc vines were chosen to create this delicious Rose wine reminiscent of cotton candy. There was no better day than a day like today to pop the cork on this wine. The weather man reported that the high temperature today broke all records. It was the first sign of summer, felt like a summer day in southwestern ontario without all the humidity.

This wine is perfect for a day like today. It is an excellent summer wine to sip on after a nice BBQ, or as the sun sets. This is the perfect patio wine.

Pinot Noir blended with Cab Franc? Crazy? ….. you might think so but Sprucewood’s winemaker knows what she is doing. Try the wineries Deux Rouge or even their Cab Franc and you will know that she is not afraid be unique and create her own kind of wine. This one is different for sure, and like the others, it good. The blend works.

Wanda descibed it as candy. It is, but not candy that is too sweet. There are hints of cherry and strawberry. Fruity but not so much that it dominates the wine.

The finish is clean and long. Very enjoyable. This wine is a treat to drink.

Priced at under $11 this Sprucewood Shores wine is a steal. Buy a few to have on hand this summer.
