What a treat. This one is excellent.
Those who find ice wine too thick or too sweet may have just found a desert wine that they will enjoy.
Unlike other “Late Harvest” wines that are usually made from the vidal grape this one is a blend of vidal, riesling, and taminer. It is different, it is unusual and most importantly, it is good.
It is sweet, but not nearly as sweet as ice wine or other “Late Harvest Vidal” wines. his wine is perfect for after dinner.
Pear flavours dominate this wine. It’s smooth and has an enjoyable finish that stayed around for a while.
Priced at just $12.95 for a 375 mL bottle makes it a great deal compared to ice wines and other local “Late Harvest” wines.
