Pelee Island Pinot Noir 2007 Review
Winemaker’s Notes:
Our Pinot Noir is a medium red wine with a leather/ tobacco aroma and a distinctive tannic finish.
This wine is best served at room temperature with grilled or roasted red meat, game, ham, roast pork or grilled Atlantic salmon.
Pinot Noir: This Burgundy grape is one of the oldest varieties cultivated by man. On Pelee Island it thrives in a microclimate that enjoys the longest growing season with the greatest amount of heat units in Canada.

Open this one at room temperature as suggested by the winemaker. Poured a glass and noticed that the nose was hardly there. Same thing with the taste, it too was just not there.
I was expecting much more from this wine. How do I review a wine that has very little aroma or taste?
Thinking that it was just me and my senses were off I asked Wanda to taste the wine. She also thought this wine had a mild taste.
Not too much I can say about this wine. I can’t say it tasted bad, it just didn’t have any taste.
I think you should try this again Gary. Maybe you got a bad bottle or something? This is one of my favourite red wines.
