Very nice wine.
Colio continues to surprise me. Perhaps it is because I still remember the old days of Colio wines. Back when it was one of the only wineries in the area and the only place you really ever tasted their wine was at weddings or banquets.
Times have changed. Colio makes some very good wines now. Colio winemaker Tim Reilly is a nice guy who has helped raise the bar at Colio.
As a local wine, this is a large production wine (10,000 cases). You will find this chardonnay available all over Ontario in LCBO’s. Also note that this is a blended white wine made mostly from chardonnay along with a little bit of Gewurztraminer and a hint of Riesling.
This blend is nice and provides the wine with a unique taste that is very good.
On the nose and palate of this wine there are hints of apple and citrus. Easy to sip on or pair with any chicken diner.
