I have to keep reminding myself that vidal is not just an ice wine grape.
For me vidal wines are often easy to overlook when this area has such good rieslings and chardonnays.
Don’t overlook Sprucewood Shores Vidal. It’s a very enjoyable wine to drink. From start to finish there is a lot going on, an enjoyable experience.
Starting with a nice green apple like bouquet the first sip had hints of juicy pear flavours, some citrus flavours on the back palate. The finish was very refreshing.
Affordable priced at just under $12.
I don’t see this wine listed any more on the winery’s web site. I am assuming that supple of their 2006 vidal is almost gone. If it is still available, get it.
