Winemaker’s Notes:
A crisp, refreshing dry wine with apple and red grapefruit flavours and a pleasant fruity finish. It is great with turkey, pork, salmon, veal, fowl, lamb, fruit sauces and condiments, vegetables, pastas with cream and cheese sauces, dressed salads and cheeses.
Price: 750 mL $11.95

It has been a while since we uncorked a Riesling.
Erie Shore’s Riesling is a nice golden coloured wine. The nose is full of citrus and floural scents. The taste is very similar to the nose.
There is a nice balance of sweetness and fruitiness to this wine that just makes it taste so good. The finish is long and dry.
Wanda made some amazing panini sandwiches stuffed with roast beef, cheddar cheese and sweet red peppers. The Erie Shore Riesling paired so well with our sandwiches.
You got my vote on this one. I just had their chardonnay and really enjoyed it. I think I may get this one the next time I go there.
This was our most popular wine at the recent and brand new Southern Ontario Wine & Food Festival.
We would like to thank you all of you that attended-including Essex Wine Review. We think you will quite like the upcoming 2007 Riesling Vintage as well. It should be out by Spring, 2009. H & A, of Erie Shore Vineyard
(EDITOR’S NOTE) I can’t wait to try the 2007 Erie Shore Riesling. Should be a very good year! – Wanda and I did stop in at the Wine and Food festival this past weekend but only stayed for about an hour. It was just a little too cold in there for us. Hopefully this will be addressed for next year. That’s great news hearing that the Riesling did so well at the festival. People do know the good wines. Gary)
