Winemaker’s Notes:
This is a dry-style Gewurztraminer with clean citrus flavours and a finish that has a touch of spice combined with a hint of rose.

Another winner from the CREW.
It is New Years Day and I was looking for a nice bottle of wine to enjoy while watching NHL Winter Classic outdoor hockey game between Detoit Red Wings and Chicago Black Hawks.
I have been eyeing my bottle of Colchester Ridge’s Gewurztraminer and decided that today would be the day to try it.
I chilled the bottle just a bit, too cold and it will lose a lot of its nose and taste. (Also see note at the end)
This wine has a nose that screams lemons, lemons, lemons.
It is a dry white wine with a citrus taste and nice long finish. This is a good wine to have on hand for company as I believe most will really enjoy it.
You just won’t go wrong having a few bottles of the CREW’s Gewurztraminer 2007 chilled and ready to serve for any ocassion.
NOTE: Serve this wine chilled. I left my open bottle out of the counter and tried it again when the wine warmed up to room temperature and it lost a lot of the critus nose and taste.
FOLLOW UP: An interesting happened with this wine after it had been opened for about an hour. The nose changed to a nice floral bouquet. Very interesting.
