Overall Impression ....

I picked this wine up during the summer and have been waiting for right time to open it. Today was the day. Outside it’s cold, snowy, it’s Sunday, the Lions lost again, and my good friend Jim just got an “A+” in a wine course he has been taking and working hard at.
So what better reason then all of the above. I popped the cork, let the wine breath for an hour or so and started the celebration.
This is a nice Cab Franc that I really enjoyed. The nose is spicy, oaky and all that a good cab franc should be.
On the palate this is not the full bodied wine I was expecting. Seemed to be missing something. Perhaps it was not as oaky or bold tannins that I anticipated. This actually may be good news to some who do not like those big bold cab franc wines in our area.
