Muscedere Riesling 2007 Review
Winemaker’s Notes:
This finely-balanced wine has off-dry appeal. Characteristics include green apple, lemon, and honey on the nose, with citrus notes on the palate and a crisp, clea finish. Serve as a cocktail wine or as a partner tp spicy Indian or Thai dishes. Serve slightly chilled.
Hand-harvest: October 6, 2007

A nicely balanced Riesling.
I enjoyed it tremendously
This Riesling was very interesting. It is not like all of the other local Rieslings that I have been trying lately. They have all been good and this one is no exception. Let’s just say that this one is different.
The wines’s colour is almost a clear colour with a hint of golden yellow. Viscosity is normal. The nose is very sweet, fruity with a hint of citrus.
Now the temperature that you serve this wine will change the taste. I am going to suggest that you serve this wine at room temperature or just slightly chilled for best taste. First impression was that it was very refreshing and fruity with a very short aftertaste.
This is a nice wine to pair with a gouda cheese such as “Le Fin Renard”.
This is not a bad white wine. It does have a nice fruity taste but did have some what a fizzy aftertaste that I didn’t expect or really like. Almost like a champagne after taste. Still a good wine though.
