Sanson Baco Noir Reserve 2005 Review
Winemaker’s Notes:
Characteristic deep, opaque, staining purple colour – don’t splash this on a white tablecloth! A different treatment from the regular Baco gives this wine a more elegant countenance with sweet wild berry aromas, a touch of jammy blueberry and nuances of new oak. This palate is juicy and lively with an invigorating finish. This one’s higher pedigree calls for a rare steak or lamb chops right of the grill.
Winner at the All Canadian Wine Championships for 2007.

This is a wine that has been on my must buy list for several months now. While a little pricer than most other local wines including reserve wines keep in mind that this one has been in a barrel for about 20 months allowing it to develop a nice full bodied taste.
This is one of the best local wines that I have tried. Do like I did and add this one to your “must buy” list. This wine was a top wine at the All Canadian Wine Championships for 2007. Well deserved.
This is one of the best wines in Essex County. This is the one to serve to guest when you have them over for dinner. I have tried many local wines and this is the best one of them all.
The wine itself was very good, not worth the $25 for a hybrid. Great Baco Noir is produced through out all the local wineries at a much reasonable price.
This wine is expensive for a local wine. Not sure why. It is good, but not great.
