Winemaker’s Notes:
Deep, dark, almost black colour with meaty character and smoky aromas of elderberry. This baco is rustic and wild with a chewy palate and long, juicy finish. Amazingly adaptable– serve with burgers off the barbecue or braised lamb shanks.

While this one is not as good as Sanson’s baco noir 2005 reserve it is still a very good wine. It may need to be cellared for a little while longer. Buy the reserve first if it is available but do consider buying this one if the reserve is not available.
Had this wine with mushroom risotto at Caldwell Grant restaurant in Amherstburg. Outstanding pairing! The wine tasted wonderful on its own before entree arrived and completely complemented the entree after it arrived. I enjoyed this wine very much.
