This regal variety is simply, supple and elegant! Sweet herbaceous aromas are followed by ripe plum flavours with a memorable finish. Will age well until 2015. Match with wild game, prime rib or full flavoured entrees.

Crisp and refreshing, our Pinot Grigio has a fruit, flower and mineral aroma, with a touch of lemon or citrus flavour. An excellent choice for spicy and barbecued foods, as well as white meat dishes.

    NOTES FROM THE WINEMASTER:
    The Chambourcin grapes used for this wine were left on the vine until they had reached 20.8° brix, and the Cabernet Franc grapes were harvested at 21.2° brix.

    A great wine to be enjoyed with friends around the dinner table.

    Winemaker’s Notes:
    Lovely, dry red wine, rich, with dark fruit, currant, berry and good tannic structure. Aged in French oak and Stainless Steel. Great match with roast or red meats, game birds, chicken, turkey, vegetables, pizza and tomato based pasta’s, cheeses, including blue and hard cheeses.

    Erie Shore Duet Zweigelt-Cabernet Franc 2005 Review

    Winemaker Notes:
    Excellent, smooth, medium bodied wine, softly cellared in our French oak barrels. Lovely finish. A blend of 85% Zweigelt and 15% Cabernet Franc, giving black pepper and current flavours. Zweigelt grows wonderfully here at the Erie Shore. It is an early season blue vinifera. Matched with grilled meats, white meats, roast meats, pork and pizza.

      2007 VQA Summer Sun Cabernet

      We’re thrilled to have our very popular new summer wine: Summer Sun Cabernet now available. Summer Sun is a chilled red wine made of 100% Cabernet Franc, made with only minimal skin contact. The result is a delicate salmon coloured wine with a vibrant citrus nose with pronounced lime, fresh grapefruit with a dusting of sugar on the palate. It is matched with grilled vegetables, cold cuts, cheese, sole, oyster, snapper, salmon, quiche, burgers, ribs and hot spicy foods.

      This wine is best served at room temperature with grilled or roasted red meat and game, ham, roast pork or grilled Atlantic salmon.

      PINOT NOIR: This Burgundy grape is one of the oldest varieties cultivated by man. On Pelee Island it thrives in a micro climate that enjoys the longest growing season with the greatest amount of heat units in Canada.
