Digging around in my wine cellar I found one of these 2006 Cab Franc's from Erie Shore Vineyard. It has a bar code on the back so it must have been one of the bottles I picked up at the LCBO.

I was a bit worried before opening this one. See, about a week ago I opened a few 2007 Cab Franc Reserve bottles that I had in my cellar and all had gone bad. I wasn't sure what the issue was with them so I had a few wine tasters that I know give me their thoughts. The conclusion was that it was a ripeness issue and that as the wine aged the fruits gave way to the greeness. Sad to say I still have some of these in my cellar and I am afraid they are now gone.

The 2006 is a different story. It still has nice fruits and silky tannins. I am not sure it has a lot of time left so I am going to open what I have left and enjoy them over the next week or so.
