Swirling my glass produced a nice sweet cherry smell. First impression on taste is that it was a dry, medium bodied red wine that was missing some of the oaky taste that I expect to find in a cab franc. Those who do not like that oaky taste in their wine will really enjoy this wine right now. This is a nice ruby red wine that is ready to drink now but should only get better with age.
