    Simply the best.

I sampled this wine at the 14th annual vintage tasting event in August. It was the best tasting Cab Franc that I have ever had. Aged 20 months in an Oak barrel really made a difference here.

Since they couldn’t sell their products at the wine tasting event Wanda and I made a visit to Erie Shore Vineyard a week later and bought a couple of bottles. I should have bought more!! I just heard that they are almost sold out now or may already be sold out. Now I have to save my two bottles for a special event.

Gary, I took your suggestion and opened one of our Reserve Cab Franc’s from Erie Shore. Great choice. I forgot just how nice this wine was. Beautiful blackberry taste matched prefectly with the turkey. Nice choice. Merry Christmas.

I was just looking at some of the wines in my cellar and came across a few bottles of this wine. I remember hearing the Erie Shore was almost sold out of this wine so Wanda and I called up and had Alma save the last 6 or so bottles of this wine.

I opened one of the two remaining bottles this evening.

Looks like this wine may have already peaked, not past it’s prime yet but certainly close to being over the hill.

Nose was oddly herbaceous this time. I even thought that it may have some hints of TCA, however after tasting it I believe this was not the case. Tannins had softened but were still noticable. Not a lot of fruit notes on the taste, more of that herbacous thing going on. Still drinkable but it has lost some of its appeal.
