CEV Cabernet Franc Reserve 2005 Review
Wine Maker Tim Reilly Notes:
A cool spring with relatively normal rainfall was followed by a hot, dry summer with an extended warm, dry autumn creating excellent ripening conditions for the Bordeaux varietals that demand just that. The award-winning wines that wear our CEV label are the ultimate expression of our winemaker’s art: limited quantity, ultrapremium, hand-crafted VQA wines.

This is one fine wine that is all about balance. Acidity, sweetness, alcohol, and tannins all work well together here leaving a rewarding finish.
Taste noted were cherry, bell pepper, oak, cedar, and some spice flavour that I can’t pinpoint.
It’s one of the best local Cab Francs.
Tasted (May 2010) this one may be at it’s peak right now so open and enjoy!
