This delicious well balanced blend offers aromas of Chocolate truffles, cherry pipe tobacco and rose water. The full mouth feel and well managed tannins glide across the palate with flavours of plum preserves, cocoa, and vanilla spice. Barrel aged 4 years. This extraordinary wine should be decanted before serving.

Pairs well with red meats and most savory dishes and will complement Asian inspired cuisine.

      Winemaker’s Notes:
A light-bodied wine with a hint of sweetness balanced by a backbone of acidity. This wine exhibits citrus fruit on the nose, with a clean, crisp finish.

Pelee Island Winery Vinedressers Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Verdot 2010 Review

      Sun 28, Apr. 13
      0 Reviews
      0 Reviews
      0 overall score

      Winemaker’s Notes:
      75% Cabernet Sauvignon
      25% Petit Verdot

Our Cabernet Sauvignon / Petit Verdot is medium bodied and dense with firm tannins and a wild cherry bouquet.

      Vinedressers:
In 1891, Captain J.S. Hamilton, the president of Pelee Island Wine Company and J.S. Hamilton & Co., began construction of a three-story building with the stone being quarried from the island. Named the Wine House, it was located on five acres of land near the West dock on Pelee Island. The press was located on the third floor and the juice was channeled to the five thousand Litre oak casks in the cellar of the Wine House.

With Vin Villa Vineyards (1865) already well established, and along with the Wine House, the new century began with a strong winemaking spirit on the island.

        3.67 overall score

Aromas of nectarines, yellow apple and plum, with a gently floral note. Gently kissed by sweetness, this is ripe and quite attractive in the mouth. The palate is flavour-packed, far more so than the nose. A delightful wine, from a largely unknown grape. This will impress with a paprika spiced chicken, or pad Thai. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2013)
